5. Shalimar Paint

Shalimar Paint is acknowledged to be the first paint manufacturing plant in South East Asia. The company was founded in 1902 by A.N. Turner and A.N. Wright in Howrah, West Bengal. In 1961 company got the recognition as public limited company.

The manufacturing involves industrial coating, marine and aviation coatings; coatings for metal and wood decorations. On 12 August 2013, Sameer Nagpal was appointed as the CEO of Shalimar Paints. The 111th Annual report of Shalimar Paints announced that the total revenue from the Business and other operation was 59617 lakhs.

 

6. Tata Steel

Taking the efforts of Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata as a dream project, in 1907 Dorabji Tata founded Tata Iron and Steel Company in Sakchi village (presently in Jharkhand).

Tata Steel was the 12th largest steel producing country in the world in 2012, with an annual crude steel capacity of 23.8 million tones. Also it is the second largest private-sector steel company in India.

Tata Steel has grown globally with manufacturing plants in 26 countries, including U.K., Australia, China, and Singapore, providing employment to over 1 lakh worldwide.

On February 12, 2012 Tata Steel completed its 100 years flourished with never ending achievement list.
