9 Things Windows 8 Has In Store for Enterprise IT

8. Booting, Not Sluggish Anymore:

The general perception is that increasing the number of features in an operating system forces it to perform slower. The major criterion to analyze the performance of any operating system is to estimate its boot time and Window 8 passes the test with flying colors. When Infoworld used the new operating system on their Lenovo T520 tablets, Windows 8 took just 16 seconds to boot which is far better than Windows 7 that took 27 seconds. Even the user interface is fast and gives an all new feel to the users.

This will greatly help the Enterprises to run their operations faster.

7. Hyper-V, A Replacement to Virtual PC:

Customized especially for the Enterprise edition, Windows 8 comes with Microsoft’s Hyper-V hypervisor. This is the same version that was available with Windows Server 2012 and is a replacement to the Windows7/ Vista Virtual PC.
