With four big tires and weighing around 5 kilograms, Sand Flea looks like a toy car to most of us. But the thing is this robot is equipped with an infrared camera and it can jump a whopping 30 feet in the air. Not only it jumps, but “the robot uses gyro stabilization to stay level during flight, to provide a clear view from the onboard camera, and to ensure a smooth landing,” says the website. Boston Dynamics, a robotics company is the creators of this magnificent robot.

#2 Furby

Furby, the electronic robotic toy resembling an owl was a huge hit from the time of its release. The toys which went rare to get in 2007 had made a comeback in 2012. They were the first successful attempt to produce and sell a domestically-aimed robot. These Furbies initially talk their native language Furbish, but are programmed to start using English words and phrases over time. It has voice recognition, complex face movements and the ability to adapt its personality in reaction to user behavior.

#1 BigDog

Even though BigDog is created back in 2005, the 3 feet long, 2.5 feet tall quadruped robot, weighing 110 kg is still a star. It is capable of traversing difficult terrain, running at 4mph, carrying 340lbs, and can climb a 35 degree inclination.
