#5 Petman

Petman  is dubbed as "the first anthropomorphic robot that moves dynamically like a real person." The development of this Terminator style robot is funded by U.S. army. But according to Boston Dynamics, who develops the robot, Petman is intended to test the chemical weapons suits. It is designed to take heavy doses of chemical warfare agents. Roughly 6 feet tall, it will also mimic human physiology, generating heat and sweating for added realism.

#4 RHex

RHex, the thirty pound rough terrain robot is developed by Boston Dynamics. It is a six-legged robot with inherently high mobility. With independently controlled powerful legs, it can overcome any rough terrain and situation. It climbs almost anything- rock fields, mud, sand, vegetation, railroad tracks, telephone poles and up slopes and stairways. As robots like this emerge, “we will have no place to hide when the machines rise up Terminator style,” states Mashable.
