Kamala Harris
Born in Oakland, California, Harris is a graduate of Howard University, which is supposed to be America’s oldest black university. She also holds a law degree from the University of California’s Hastings College of the Law.
Kamala Harris recently made history when she became the 32nd Attorney General for the Californian State. And in the process, she became the first South Asian woman to hold the office in the history of California.
As of Jan 31, it was reported that Harris had more than $3.1 million in campaign funds and $2.5 million of which was raised in 2013, according to the California Secretary of State's office.
Harris who announced her decision to seek re-election for Attorney General of California feels that her strong fundraising skills reflect that people support the work she has done over the past four years.
