A 5-day visit by Pope Francis, after the typhoon ‘Haiyan’ had hit Philippines. More than 14.5 million people were affected due to this storm and about one million people were left homeless. Pope conducted a mass in Tacloban for people who lost their loved ones and almost 6 million people attended this event.

World Youth Day, Philippines, 1995

The second visit to Manila by Pope John Paul II to celebrate World Youth Day. Over 5 million people attended his meeting. The closing ceremony, which was held at Luneta Park in a University, is considered to be the 2nd largest Papal gathering in Roman Catholic history.
