The biggest annual gathering for Shia Muslims from all over the World, takes place in Iraq. All the pilgrims reach to the center by walking miles from Barsa to the city of Karbala. In 2014, Over 17 million people took part journey and many choose to make the 55-mile journey on foot from Najaf.

C. N. Annadurai popularly known as ‘Anna’ was the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in 1967. He was a journalist, poet and worked as an English teacher before joining politics. He became famous after he made Tamil, the official language of Tamil Nadu. 15 million people attended his funeral, filling all the streets.
