Randy Belote, a company spokesman, said, “Northrop Grumman and the Navy are developing the world’s most sophisticated unmanned, broad-area maritime surveillance capability,” reports Bloomberg Business Week.

Northrop which was started in 1994 has emerged as one of the top suppliers of military hardware in the world in a less period and the company is eyeing to enhance its drone market too in the coming years.

A technology firm based in Monrovia and Simi Valley, California, AeroVironment, Inc. is mainly involved in energy systems, electric vehicle systems, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Founded in 1971 by Paul B. MacCready, Jr., this company is probably most well known for developing a series of lightweight human-powered and then solar-powered vehicles.
