General Atomics:

A defense contractor headquartered in San Diego, California, General Atomics is a company specialized in nuclear physics.

They develops systems ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely operated surveillance aircraft, airborne sensors, advanced electric, electronic, wireless, and laser technologies.

This company is also well-known for building a drone named MQ-1 Predator used mainly by the United States Air Force and Central Intelligence Agency. This UAV is in use since 1995 and has combat over countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bosnia, Serbia, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, and Somalia.

As such, this is one of the companies likely to rule the drone market in the near future.

Lockheed Martin Corporation:

Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, in the Washington DC area, Lockheed Martin is an American global aerospace, defense, security and advanced technology company with a wide range of global interests.

Headed by Marillyn Hewson, it is one of the world's largest defense contractors that has entered slightly new territory that is drone systems.  Most recently, it has unveiled three new Unmanned Aerial Vehicles systems.

Lockheed Martin, with a view to become a market leader of Drone, has announced two versions of the Indago vertical take-off and landing quat-rotor drone in addition to a commercial Avionics Suite for unmanned aircraft.
