Planning to buy a house? Get your research right. Never buy a house based on the advertized price since that is only the base price. The total price of a house usually goes upto 25-40 percent more than the promotion price. There are additional charges for parking space, gym space, floor rises that provides you so called ‘nice view’.

5. Maximum Retail Price

Percentage of ‘Hidden Fee’: Approx 10-30 percent

The maximum retail price (MRP) constitutes the actual price of the product and the seller’s margin. As such, take care not to pay a penny more than the MRP since it is illegal. According to The Consumer Good Act , 2006, the manufacturers should mandatorily print the cost of production and the maximum retail price on the packet of the product. However, it is not illegal to charge more on the MRP in service industry and the rule is limited to retail stores alone.
