The hotels, in order to be competitive, usually hide these extra fees and show you only the tariff per night of your room. However, the charges do show itself as mandatory in the final bill. Some hotels even install sensors in mini bars, hence you might end up paying for items that you just moved to check the brand or price.

Using credit and debit cards while on a holiday in India might be convenient but the same plastic money may prove to be expensive when the holiday destination is somewhere overseas.
