3. Bhola cyclone-

Bhola Cyclone which hit the then east Pakistan which is now Bangladesh in the Bay of Bengal coast on 12th November 1970 is considered to be among the most dangerous tropical cyclones, taking the lives of more than 5 lakh people.

In this cyclone, the strong winds of 115 miles per hour thrashed the whole land areas of the region and demolished the Entire Island and villages. Not just the cyclone but also the flood with an inclusion of violent storm surge took human’s lives in terms of lakhs.

The whole damages and destructions by this cyclone came up to $490 million damaging homes, crops, buildings, transportation, power lines, etc.

4. Haiti earthquake-

Port-au-Prince, one of the most populated areas of Haiti was struck with 7.0-magnitude quake in the year 2010 on 12th January. This is considered as one the massive urban disasters in the recent times where around 220,000 of casualities and 300,000 injuries were reported.

This country though has an enormous support from all over the world; it is their poor infrastructure that was affected by the natural disaster. Haiti earthquake  took away the homes of thousands people, the schools and hospitals were totally crushed to ashes including the U.N. headquarters located in Port-au-Prince, the Presidential palace and the main prison.

The entire loss ranges between $8 and $14 billion.
