India: Indian warfare troops are among the best equipped among developing nations. India has the 3rd largest armed forces in the world in terms of active personnel, and is one of the highest spenders on defense. It has an approximate 1,325,000 soldier count. It has a well trained army and also long distance hitting missiles on earth.

Over the last two decades, the country has been spending more on military and armed forces in the country. At the same time, the country’s defense imports have been considerably increasing and in 2011 India became the largest arms importer in the world. Almost half of India’s military spending goes to the army, a quarter to the air force and the remaining for the navy, R&D, ordinance factories and more. The country’s defense expenditure is expected to increase further as it adapts modernized technology and this might itself push the country to become the fourth highest spender by 2020.
