World's 5 Countries with the Strongest Militaries

China: The world’s most populous country, China, has the strongest army in the world famously known as People’s Liberation Army. This country has over billion people to protect, so having a large fleet of army is indeed a necessity. Its constant skirmishes with its neighbors due to conflicting territorial claims have given the country additional reason to maintain such a strong force.

As such, the military size is over 2,285,000 making it one of the largest armies in the world. It has developed and possesses weapons of mass destruction, including chemical and nuclear weapons. Till date, China is estimated to have about 140 warheads assigned to land-based missiles and 40 warheads assigned for aircraft. According to a publication by a Chinese government, the military budget of this country is about $157.6 billion, the second largest in the world after the U.S.
