The Biggest Score
In 1926, in the Sheffield Shield game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Victoria scored 1107 runs in their first innings against New South Wale. Victoria broke their prior score record of 1059, set four seasons earlier against Tasmania at the same ground. The team that came closest to the score is Sri Lanka in the Colombo Test series of 1997, when Sri Lanka wasted India for three days, scoring a triumphant score of 952 for 6 wickets.

40,000 Runs and 4000 Wickets
The right-hand batsmen and left-arm spinner from England, Wilfred Rhodes in his impressive cricketing career that lasted for over three decades set records which still remain unattained, by any of the star players the game has produced. Rhodes procured a total score of 39,969 runs and 4204 wickets in his long career. In the First Class cricket matches he is on the number one spot with the most wickets taken in a career category followed by Tich Freeman on the second spot.
