Why India has failed to Produce Great Tech Entrepreneurs?

When a tech entrepreneur gets into a VC office it is obvious for him to be cornered with questions. Entrepreneurs must know all the pros and cons of the business and must be ready to face any kind of questions. Funding in US is far simpler than what it is in India, the complete system has to be blamed for this. Venture capitalists become more sharp and shrewd before funding an Indian but if it is an US company they would not think twice before investing.

Bad startup culture

Most states and cities in India still have a stereotype outlook towards startups and business. People in India fear risk and do not let their children to do business. They prefer a day job and are fine being employees of companies hampering the creativity of such young talented folks. In a country like ours we lack great mentors like Steve Jobs and Peter Thiel who can guide budding tech entrepreneurs, this also has other problems like, budding entrepreneurs and their startups lack the intensity or urge which is the driving force of any enterprise. Achieving something great is not simple if all these categories continue to work the way it is, hence every budding talent must be motivated and respected for their product which can possibly be something that can change the world tomorrow.
