It’s sunny climate, a background rhythm of Polynesian culture and a passion for outstanding food, wine and shopping is the perfect picture of Auckland, the largest and most diverse city in New Zealand. "We know there is still a lot of work to be done," said Mayor Len Brown. "Our transport infrastructure puts us behind other cities on the international indices, and handicaps our people and our economy," reports NZ Herald.  Auckland's lifestyle is mainly influenced by the fact that though the place is 70 percent rural in land area, 90 percent of Aucklanders live in urban areas. Large parts of these areas have a more suburban character than many cities in Europe and Asia.

2. Zurich, Switzerland: Zurich, the financial capital of Switzerland, is a leading global city and among the world's largest financial centres. The city is home to a large number of financial institutions and banking giants.

Most of Switzerland's research and development centres are concentrated in Zurich and the low tax rates attract overseas companies to set up their headquarters there.
