VK Singh's Statement on 'Paying Ministers' Turns Controversial

"He knows about the type of stability work that has been done and what he is saying now is purely motivated," the former Army chief said. He also mentioned that the J&K Chief Minister was in association with people who want to be hostile towards the good of the country.

“VK Singh should name the politicians. If details are given, we can probe,” Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde reportedly said.

The Army chief stated that his name is being tarnished because of those who are accusing him of toppling the state government. He opinioned saying that governments fall due to misgovernance and not because someone tries to topple.

General Singh further said that the state agriculture Minister Ghulam Hasan Mir was paid by the Indian Army so that certain duties could be assigned in the interest of the nation.

Singh denied that Technical Support Division (TSD) had any probing tool to snoop on any politician.
