Q. How do I crack all the fad diets?

A. People’s interest in fad diets and low carb diets have left everyone heckled. Carbs are actually a good word. The amount of carbs is unimportant while the kind of carbs eaten is what should be checked. Complex carbs such as whole grains, veggies and legumes are nutritious while simple carbs like sugar and corn syrup are usually the unhealthy choices. But the real issue is that fad diets take carb intakes to extremes. They are unrealistic as a long-term health plan. Fad diets also make your weight bounce back faster than you think once you quit the fad diet. Substitute low carbs and low sugar foods with fruits, whole grains and proteins. And anyways, balanced diet and exercise, together, are the only proven answers weight loss.
