#9 Apple:

The first logo of Apple was designed by Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne and it shows Sir Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree; but since the logo seemed too complex to perceive, it got almost immediately replaced with rainbow silhouette of an apple. The logo encompassed both discovery of gravity and separation of light in to its components through prism, a tribute to Sir Isaac Newton.

While the rainbow silhouette of an apple was tribute to Newton, the bite mark is said to pay homage to the mathematician Alan Turning, who committed suicide by eating apple laced with cyanide.

The logo also gets another reference that it symbolizes the concept of seduction of customers in the same way which happened to Adam and Eve who ate apple in Eden Gardens. While apple represents Tree of Knowledge, which symbolizes the pursuit of once dreams.

Presently Apple’s got monochrome logo, this logo got designed in 1997 when Jobs returned to Apple, the company was in rickety and Jobs thought it could be good to start with new logo for new successful beginning.

As homage to Jobs, when he passed away, Apple modified its logo, placed a silhouette image of jobs at bite mark on apple.
