Another source said that Infosys is anticipated to abridge the current matrix arrangement in terms of delivery that has been creating confusion in the market. In case of portfolios the new structure is aiming at a global head of delivery and a global head of sales. For the positions, the top contenders are expected to be board members BG Srinivas and Ashok Vemuri respectively. However, there is still confusion if the company will be having a COO role.

The said developments are coming a month after the company founder Narayan Murthy made his come back to the company. Once an IT bellwether, Infosys today has been lagging behind the race since couple of years, but the founders return had raised new hopes. "Murthy is a very quick decision-maker and it's a positive that he's already finalizing a re-organization. His mere return will not help Infosys. Changes are also needed and the sooner he does this the better," said an analyst.
