5. The United Kingdom

This is shocking but for the first time coffee sales declined in the United Kingdom in 2012 and the reason behind this declining was recession. Since 2003 the United Kingdom was one among the highest coffee consumers but in 2012 consumers have been cutting back their expenditures due to increase in unit prices. In the coming forecast period once the consumers become aware of the benefits of coffee and start liking different flavors of coffee the trend will evolve more.

6. Australia

Increasing availability of café/barista style coffee at home have made coffee dearest among the Australians in 2012. In many of the major cities people are seen addicted or sometimes more attracted to on-trade coffee that provides some of the coffees like latte, flat white, cappuccino etc. that are popular for their style.  In metropolitan capitals the on-trade coffee sales have increased due to more demand for premium beverages, as displayed by the plethora of organic, carbon-neutral , fair trade, single-source, sustainable and micro-roasted artisanal coffee types available.

7. Canada

Among beverages coffee maintains its position on top performing list of hot drinks in Canada in 2012 and the total growth registered was around 22 percent. Continuous innovation of standard fresh ground coffee was one reason behind the coffee growth which resulted in total growth in volume sales by 10 percent, nearly 78,300 tonnes. According to Common Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), the coffee consumption will possibly grow by 5 percent, which will be around 100,500 tonnes by 2017.
