When compared to previous years, the consumption of coffee was less in China almost around just 10 percent in 2012. Initially the economy was declining due to less coffee consumption but gradually the consumers’ interest towards coffee increased with the time. With the increasing demand of coffee many of the coffee shops have been established in urban cities.  As a result of growing urbanization and busy lifestyle, the coffee sales growth is expected to reach 9 percent Who said? Another reason that would boost the coffee sales is the rising income and customer sophistication.

4. The United States

According to Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), coffee sales in the United States have increased by 8 percent when compared to the review period 2007-2012. Due to economic downturn the consumers used to brew coffee at home, which resulted in slow growth of on trade volume sales of coffee. But in 2012 due to development of a leading coffee company named JM Smucker off-trade volume sales of coffee increased by 7 percent.
