Can CEO Panel Members Help Infosys To Steers Clear Off On 'Default CEO' Remark?

The company is apparently considering outside candidates for the position. Though there has not been any clear indication on behalf of Infosys, the matter has raised concern that Infosys's long-term strategy isn’t sorted out yet, says analysts and investors.

Now, three members of the nominations and governance committee of Infosys’ board of directors Ann Fudge, Jeffrey Lehman and Ravi Venkatesan, having extraordinary CVs themselves to be fit in the profile, have been given the responsibility  to recommend candidates for the post of CEO at India's second-largest software services provider.

Ann M Fudge, 62, an MBA from Harvard has been an independent director of Infosys’ Board since June 2011 which she joined in October the same year.

Ravi Venkatesan, 51, is credited with raising Microsoft’s profile in India. He was chairman of Microsoft India between 2004 and 2011 and was voted India's most influential multinational company CEO in an annual survey by ET.
