The e-book conspiracy: Apple, Macmillan, Simon and Schuster, HarperCollins and Penguin were all over this e-book price brawl which had the companies over-pricing e-books and conspiring to end book retailers’ competition for prices. This way, customers would have paid millions of dollars more than the original price of e-books for more popular titles. What is ironic about this situation is that if Apple is implicated for being anti-competitive, Amazon will be the fore-runner of the e-publishing industry without competition.
