3. Violation of ‘No-Poach’ agreements: One case in February had Google violating a no-poach agreement that it had with Apple. When Steve Jobs was alive, he and the then CEO of the search engine company, Eric Schmidt, had exchanged emails that proved that the companies didn’t woo currently employees from each other. But most recently, a court in San Jose refused to dismiss a case against seven Silicon Valley giants: Apple, Google, Intel, Intuit, Pixar, Lucasfilm and Adobe which engaged in a competition to eliminate skilled labor, according to five engineers who worked at the companies. The companies conspired so that they would reduce pay and limit the chance of employees going to firms within the circle.
