World's Top 10 Politicians Who Won the Nobel Prize

Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill is the only politician on the list who has been honored with the Nobel Prize for Literature. He is known for his flair for writing and creative genius. Apart from being a statesman he was also a great writer. As the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill served two terms in the office. It was a total surprise to the world when the Swedish Academy conferred the prize upon him for Literature.

Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela, the legend definitely makes it on the list. His great efforts brought the South African people out of their misery from the policy of apartheid. He revolted against the racial segregation among the inhabitants in South Africa.  He served as the President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999 after 27 years of imprisonment. He and his party established democracy after his release. And for his ground breaking efforts he along with F.W. de Klerk was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.
