1 Aung San Suu Kyi and Thein Sein
Under the leadership of Aung San Suu Kyi and reformist president Thein Sein, Burma has began to reform, after long being under the world’s most repressive dictatorship. For about 20 years Suu Kyi was subjected to house arrest by Burma’s military government. This year the U.S., reinstated the diplomatic ties with Burma and sanctioned more eased travel and economic permit, also the hundreds of political prisoners in Burma were released.

2 Moncef Marzouki
The Tunisian President, a committed secularist Marzouki, who is supervising the writing of the new constitution, is persistent that Islamic parties will play a role in Tunisia’s governance, and he also is ready to stand up for them when they get beyond their limits. As the president of Tunisian, he is seen as the best candidate, with the right blend of obstinacy and levelheadedness.
