The year 1984 saw the up rise of one of the most successful operating systems throughout the technology world- the Macintosh. Over the past 27 years, the platform has undergone three major makeovers, that is from the 68K to PowerPC and later onto x86 CPUs. Also in the case of operating system, today Apple has changed almost everything from the classic OS.

The Apple IIgs was a whole new renovated version of predecessor Apple II. The system ran on a newly developed 16-bit processor which offered more processing power along with more system memory and faster program execution. The system was also incorporated with a new graphics chip and a good sound card which certainly made the Apple IIs, the most preferred PC at its time.
