#3D counterfeiting: A series of 3D printer patents have ended by February, which gives way to the smaller manufacturing shops to duplicate designs of the expensive jewellary or sunglasses. Websites like The Pirate Bay offers 3D printing (pirate bay won’t offer 3D printing, please understand the story) which requires only 3D blueprints or scans of the 3D model.

#Organ-On-a-chip: An Organ-On-a-chip is a 3D Micro fluidic cell culture chip which is a replica of the organs and the organ systems. The replicated organs include the Heart, lungs, kidney, Skin and many more. For instance: A lung on a chip has a membrane lined with the human lung cells on one side of the chip and the blood cells on the other which even expands when breathing. This system can be used for pharmaceuticals testing, replacing the animals used for it.

#Bioprinting: Bioprinting is a process where 3D human tissues can be created for medical research and for different therapies. The Bio printer called ‘Novogen MMX’ was unveiled by a San Diago- based medical laboratory and Research Company Organavo way back in 2009. The company assumes that the bio printing will hasten up drug testing and discovery processes which will help provide quicker treatments with low costs.
