#1.Windows XP: Windows XP has been a hit ever since its launch in 2001.After lasting for almost 13 years, Microsoft decided to end support for the OS in 2014. Windows XP is the most popular and widely used operating system selling almost 400 million copies globally within the five months of its release, and has sold close to one billion copies overall. It has remained as the popular OS even after the newer versions were released. 

#2.Windows ME: The Windows ME released in 2000 was the last operating system on the Windows 9x series. The OS was buggy, slow and had stability issues. This OS was replaced by the Windows XP in 2001 and the former OS’ support was ended by 2006.

#3.MS-DOS: Released in 1981, MS-DOS was the main product which provided Microsoft the revenue and marketing resources to grow from a programming language company to a software development one. This was the main OS used by the IBM computers from mid-80’s to 90’s, it is a flexible OS which consumes very less installation space on the hard drive.
