3. Bank of America

As the name itself says, it’s a bank company that provides financial support to the people. Bank of America is the second largest company in America by its assets and is headquartered in North Carolina.

In the year, 2010, the U.S government filed a complaint against the Bank of America for cheating schools, hospitals, and dozens of state and local government organizations through investments that involved illegal activities. As a result, the bank had to pay up to $137.7 million, which include $25 million towards the Internal Revenue and also paid state attorney general with $4.5 million. So that it could help the organizations that are affected.

The Bank of America was also alleged by a federal prosecutor from Manhattan who filed a complaint against the bank for costing American tax payers more than $1 billion fraudulently.
