Zine al Abidine Ben Ali:

Zine al Abidine Ben Ali also makes it to the list. Defeated by the Jasmine revolution, Zine lived an excessive life while his countrymen struggled under human rights violence. His wife is said to have made her way out with gold bars worth $37 million, while he is said to have a net worth of $7 billion.

He was appointed Prime Minister in 1987, and he assumed the Presidency in November 1987 in a bloodless coup that ousted President Habib Bourguiba, who was declared incompetent. In January 2011, following a month of protests against his rule, he was forced to flee to Saudi Arabia along with his wife Leïla Ben Ali and their children. The interim Tunisian government asked for Interpol to issue an international arrest warrant, accusing him for money laundering and drug trafficking. In June this year Ben Ali was sentenced to life imprisonment in absentia for inciting violence and murder.
