Gadkari Alleged for Corruption Activists
Nitin Gadkari is the BJP president who was appointed as the party head in 2009 when the party was crushed in the general elections that year. This year Gadkari was first alleged by anti-corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal for the irregularities in the companies run by Gadkari. As claimed by one of the IAC activist who approached Gadkari in September 2012 regarding the alleged 70,000 crore Irrigation scam in Maharastra, was refused any help by him. This cited the involvement of both Gadkari and Sharad Pawar in the scam who have mutually helped each other to achieve their personal goals. Later he was asked by his party member, Yashwant Sinha who is the senior leader to submit his resignation for causing such inconvenience to the party. He also was in the news for making a remark juxtaposing the IQs of Swami Vivekananda and Dawood Ibrahim.
With all the harangue of Gadkari involvement in a corruption scam currently BJP has decided Nitin Gadkari to remain as the party president till 2013.
