5 Awesome Technologies Changing The Restaurants

#2 Webcam-Enabled Monitoring

This technology seems to be something for the future, but for sure, the restaurant owners will start using it to monitor employees for ensuring the quality standards.

The technology developed by New Jersey based Sealed Air is called Vision Enabled Training. It uses advanced algorithms along with webcams or cameras to record and detect any noncompliance with health regulations and safety codes in work place.

The system essentially allows managers to monitor, whether the workers are wearing gloves and hat while handling foods and also give insight for what is to be reinforced in training. In a trial conducted, the employees at a healthcare facility were given Radio frequency transmitters that alerted the system when workers approached the sink to wash their hands. The system tracked how long the washing lasted and whether soap or sanitizer was used.

#1 LED Alert Systems

The kitchens will always be filled with workers, many doing many things at a time. It is usually a place of confusion filled with loud voices, usually of different languages. But technology is helping the kitchens to become a peaceful place, with the help of LED indicators, which will alert the workers to time-sensitive tasks such as when the pots are washed or when silverware is dry and ready to be used.

The technology can be used in any machine and any busy cooking area can be benefitted from the illuminated alerts.
