LibreOffice comprises of some programmes to do word processing, spreadsheets, slideshows, diagrams, databases and compose formulae. It is designed to suit major office suites like Microsoft Office. The app is available for a variety of computing platforms including Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux based systems.

As reports have stated, between January 2011 and October 2011, LibreOffice was said to have been downloaded at least 7.5 million times.

TrueCrypt is a source-available freeware application that creates virtual encrypted disks where you can place your own data. The application is available for Windows, Linux and Mac in both 32 and 64 bit versions. It helps you encrypt volumes on standard machines or even external USB drives and also supports a concept called plausible deniability. This feature allows single hidden volumes to be created within another volume. For Windows users, even an encrypted, hidden operating system can be created wherein existence cannot be denied.
