16 Indians among World's '500 Powerful People'
P Chidambaram:
India’s Finance Minister P Chidambaram is another name among the powerful people. The well known corporate lawyer has also been an important member of the last two Congress-led Governments. Chidambaram also recently featured among TIME's Most Influential people list.
Sheila Dikshit:
The Chief Minister of New Delhi is also on the list. Sheila Dikshit is known to be a great administrator and a popular leader. She is the second woman Chief Minister of the state. As Chief Minister of Delhi, Dixit has won many accolades, including the Best Chief Minister of India award by Journalist Association of India in 2008 and Politician of the Year by NDTV in 2009.
