Glencore International is a Swiss multinational commodity trading and mining company headquartered in Baar, Switzerland with its registered office in Saint Helier, Jersey; and it is in the fifth position in the world ranking, producing 29 percent revenue in the net GDP.

With a 2010 global market share of 60 percent in the internationally trade-able zinc market, 50 percent in the internationally trade-able copper market, 9 percent in the internationally trade-able grain market and 3 percent in the internationally trade-able oil market, the company has production facilities around the world.

This trading as well as mining company supplies metals, minerals, crude oil, oil products, coal, natural gas and agricultural products to international customers in the automotive, power generation, steel production and food processing industries.

Formed in 1974 by the management buyout of Marc Rich, Glencore is listed on the London Stock Exchange in May 2011 and is also a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. The company has a secondary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as well.
