#7 The military can allegedly make warships invisible

Forget Hallow Man’s invisible protagonist and James Bond’s invisible Car in Die Another Day, this one is classic. The "Philadelphia Experiment" was allegedly an effort to turn a U.S. Navy vessel invisible. Using a technology called degaussing (anti-magnetic field), to eliminate magnetic fields from the USS Eldridge in 1934. The ship allegedly disappeared and some say it was replaced with a "greenish fog".

#6 The government allegedly researched mind control and time travel

If "Philadelphia Experiment" seems to be wild, than its continuation project, “Montauk Project” may drive you crazy. It saw the government training psychics and exploring potential applications of mind control and time travel. The federal government did briefly experiment with mind-control techniques in the 1970s, via a project called MKUltra, but they were a failure.
