12 Tech Companies Who Care For Its Users

Bangalore: The users will always be loyal to a company which satisfies their needs. But does that mean the company will also be loyal to them? Apparently not! For instance Apple, which has one of the largest fan communities in the world doesn’t do much to protect their users’ rights. Currently more and more netizens are feeling insecure, thanks to increased incidents of the data thefts and the data asked by governments.

The recent $45-million ATM heist by hackers sets up the best example. The modus operandi for the heist included hacking into computer systems of payment processing companies -- one in the U.S. and another in India -- to compromise the account details of prepaid card account customers of two banks.

And according to Google’s Transparency Report, Indian government made a total of 4,750 requests to share web users details, only next to the U.S., which made 16,407 requests in 2012. Overall, the total such requests rose by 20 percent in 2012 to 42,327. Requests from India also rose by about 20 percent in 2012 as compared to 3,946 in the previous year.
