#10 Danyang Kunshan Grand Bridge

The Danyang Kunshan Grand Bridge is the world’s longest bridge and was inaugurated on 30th June, 2011. The bridge is 260 feet wide with a basement of 2000 pillars held with the help of steel cables. It was completed by almost 10,000 workers and the length of the bridge measures upto 102miles. The bridge passes over the water and crosses Yang Cheeng Lake having a length of 6 miles.

The bridge is a part of Jinghu railroad which is 819 miles long. It is located on the rail line between Shanghai and Nanjing in East China’s Jiangsu province. With this bridge being built of 450,000 tons of steel structure, China became the country with 3 largest bridges in the world.
