Maharashtra:

The richest state in India which produces 15% of the country’s output stands in the seventh place. Maharashtra has 4,191kms of total national highway. NH204 and NH6 are the lengthiest highways within the state. NH204 is special because this national highway is completely within the state of Maharashtra. NH6 is another prominent highway which is usually called as great eastern road. Maharashtra is famous also for its largest road networks. Six of its neighboring states are connected through national highways.

Orissa:

Orissa takes the eighth position after occupying 3,704kms of national highway. NH5, NH6, NH200 and NH217 are the major national highways of Orissa. The last two national highways link Chhattisgarh with Orissa.
