10 Countries With Most Ridiculous Internet Laws

#7 Cuba

The Law: Cuban internet is among the most tightly controlled in the world. There are not many laws, but a complete ban from even using the internet. Cuban internet cafes have two connections. A National connection restricted to a simple e-mail service operated by the government, and an 'international' one that gives access to the entire Internet. Peoples are restricted to the national connection, which comes at a heavy price.

If a person wants to use a computer, they have to give name and address and require a special permit to use internet. All the online activities including emails are completely filtered in the name of “security reasons.”

Penalties: Some people develop their own connections by building their own antennas and using illegal dial up connections. They create blogs on foreign platforms. If you are caught using a private connection, five years of imprisonment is expected at the least. Publishing anything related to counter-revolution will lead to 20 years in prison.
