Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City has come up with a plan to build studio apartments of 300 square feet, last July. These micro apartments are to be built in the Kips Bay area of Manhattan, as proposed by Bloomberg. The aim to build such tiny apartment is to offer affordable housing option for young professionals. These 300 square feet studio apartments will include a living space, kitchen, bathroom and a sleeping area. Besides, the rental amount of these micro apartments will cost nearly $2000 per month.

3) Eco-cube

Where: Edinburgh, Scotland
Eco-cube is an environment-friendly tiniest house that spans over 100 square feet, located in Edinburgh, Scotland. Though, Eco-cube is of 100-square feet, it has included a living room, kitchen, kitchen, a closet, bathroom, dryer and washer. The architect of this smallest cube was Dr. Mike Page, the founder of Cube Project and the aim behind this foundation was that people could "live a comfortable, modern existence with a minimum impact on the environment," reports Business Insider.
