Brief description about me

My family is from Army back ground. I have done my 10+2 from Lucknow in 1986.Joined Indian Navy and did my engineering in 1990. Served in India Navy at different role and took voluntary retirement on 31st Aug 2001 at the age of 32.5 years. Since 2001 to till date I have worked as Ship Repair Manager, Facility Manager and Chief Engineer in Hotel Industry. Currently Working with “The Park Hotel “Hyderabad as Director of Engineering (Apeejay Group of Company). I have completed my EMBA and Six Sigma Green Belt and still pursuing Six Sigma Black Belt. 22 years of Experience in engineering field at various role & capacity. I can very well lead a team of 200 to 250 people to achieve the common goal.

Challenges in job

Hotel Industry is service base industry and you have to be on the job 24*7 to delivery best to Guest in House. We face every day a new complex problem and have to solve same in best possible way to deliver the service. “The Park Hyderabad” is LEED GOLD Certificate Hotel from US green Building Council. Many challenges are face during the day to maintain Green building equipment as per International standard. Yes, with every day new learning I can see my future bright.

Upcoming Trends

Indian hotel industry is growing with 15% per year and need 20 million manpower for hotel operation by 2013. New hotel are adapting concept of Green building to reduce the operational cost and contributing the society by reducing carbon credit.
Green building has energy efficient equipment, CFC free refrigerator and chiller, Building management system, Energy efficient LED lighting, Lift management system , good thermal building insulator, better facade and water treatment plant.
People starting their career with Green building hotel / property, certainly going to have advantages in future.

My point of view

Here I will disagree with you. Tata motor has exported around 60000 vehicles last year. Indian Space Research organization is the sixth largest space agencies in the world and conducted a variety of operation for India and foreign clients. Indian ship building industry is going to be after China, South Korea and Japan. As per Engineering Export Promotion Council India ( EEPC) we have done USD 27.81 Billion engineering product export in first half of current financial year. Yes, our growth is slow due to brain drain of professional working in developed country and part of major product development in multinational company abroad. Government should take some initiative in this regards and same time it also responsibility of individual to serve for own country.

My Father is retired from Army and Mother is housewife and stay at Lucknow. Wife is Msc. Botany and social worker. Daughter and Son both are studying at Don Bosco . My family stay at Navi Mumbai .
