Identifying and Promoting New Leaders:
Leadership does not grow with books, but by natural talent+Opportunities, and those who have grown this in the field can meet younger generation in their own past institutes and demonstrate what they were and what they became, and how.One such leader can bringup atleast 10 leaders.
Improving Education system
The Indian education system has improved a lot since my school days, but it is not sufficient. The education should be depending on student's aptitude and not as it is . Periodically, say every 3-4 years, students should be allowed to express their likings and according to their capabilities, should be talent evaluated and developed if necessary.
Relationship with HR and Top Management
If CEO is the brain of institute, HRD is its hands to invent/search and develop the employees to what the institute stands for.Nextgeneration of emloyees can be prepared to take institute to if not better standards atleast to what the CEO wanted the institute to stand for.
Qualities that we Look For While Hiring:
Sincereness to the work, and brain to look for where there are chances for betterment in company's culture and dreams.
Parting Thoughts
KEEP UP THE$ GOOD WORK
Helping to develop the country
Professionals can come forward in nation development by contributing their time in visiting nearby schools and guide students in their difficulties, say an engineer can go to nearby technical college and meet, solve difficulties of students in their theory difficulties and demonstrating in their terchnical laboratories or contribute in developing the laboratories where educational institute is lacking funds to develop laboratories. At the least they can contribute to their own past colleges in developing.

At 70 years I am still astudent to learn on new developments.Others can join me.
Pain Points:
1)Lack of adherance to the company's aim to look ahead and avoid pitfalls.
2)Exodus of talent due to out side opportunities.
3)Continued. work pressure not giving time for self development.
Recruiting new generation:
It is ofcourse a difficulty to look for the perfact mister fit for the institute. We have to get Mr half fit and develop him/ her to be perfact for the position, but once they get experienced, they generally think of growing faster economocally rather than helping the hand that fed them and made them what they are. They leave, due to their over amitiousness and we have to strat anew. Any amount of incentives do not make them think of their parent department. It is a fact we have to live with.
Current HR Trends:
Technology bring many developments, Like virtual classes now coming in school studies, I think, like minded companies may join hands and develop methods to expand without eating from each other's plates.Atleast they will develop means to avoid taking each others' employees in.Some places this have alredy started, but hunger for self growth some times find ways to do otherwise.
Advice For Fellow HR Leaders:
Look around for new ideas to sustain the growth without adopting the unethical methods. Like .. No body thinks of developing raw material students in schools/ colleges to teach japanese ways of systematical house keeping,Standards and the advantages of the same.etc.
HR Challenges:
The industrial standards are ever changing.By the time you standerdise a method for institutional growth, the line and stges of development of your staff, New technology has come in and you have to startafresh.
Leadership Programs in Place:
I am not an expert on the subject, and cant authentically opine on the same.
Attract good people, Retain Better Performers and Advance the Best:
A good question. Company's reputation always atract good brains. There is no derth of good hirers, and if you dont give the right incentives, they may be lured away.I would rather concentrate on making my staff good and sincere to my institute. If they feel they belong to us, they will never leave us whatever the attraction.
