Could you tell us briefly about your family background?

I live with my parents. We are a big family 5 currently and would be 6 after 6 months from now. My father retired from Union Bank of India last year while my mother works with Bank of Maharashtra. My younger brother works with Thyrocare. My fiance is currently pursuing her masters in management.

Points of inflection

Getting recognized as Global Shaper in 2011 by World Economic Forum has been my biggest achievement so far. Also in month of April 2012, I was among two Indians who won the essay competition on youth employment crisis sponsored by World Economic Forum and World Bank.

Currently working at

Vidyadhar is a serial entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and business development head at Cygnus IT Solutions. In current capacity he is responsible to define company's strategy and drive sales and operations. Under his leadership Cygnus received nomination at Aegis Graham Bell Awards in 2011.

Most Important Lessons

Danny Boyle, director of Slumdog Millionaire once remarked that the greatest asset India has is the aspirations that every Indian secretly thrives on – the aspiration to be better, greater, everyday. If each one of these aspirations are nurtured in the right way, we have a great country out here.

The Journey So Far

I started my career working in a Chartered Accountants office way back in 2002. In 2003, I moved to Coca Cola which was my window for corporate world. From there I worked with several companies like Hwelett packard, Reliance Globalcom before starting LeadCap - management consulting company and trust

Current and Previous Responsibilities

I currently head business development at Cygnus. I do client servicing and manage P & L. In my other companies I head consulting practice in Mumbai and Bahrain. I am also responsible for raising scholarships and job creation opportunities for 10,000 youths across Karnataka between 20-35 years.

Plans for the Future

I am looking for a advisory role in Government as adviser to Chief Minister on Education, employment, technology and skill development.
