Leader should be a person who coaches instead of driving the resources,
Leader should depends on goodwill instead of authority,
Leader should create respect instead of fear,
Leader should unite the individual contributors,
Leader should show how things should be done,
Leader should develops individual ability instead of using them alone,
Leader should give credit to all contributors.

Ensuring success

To continue to grow and develop in our life everyone should “Accept the changes based on its merit”. The thumb rule is, change is the only permanent thing in the world.

IT Professional (BE, MBA) with over 7 years of experience in HR Systems Implementation and Maintenance.

Having Hands-on experience in preparation of project plan, sizing & blue printing, functional development, final preparation, go live, post implementation support for Human Resource (HCM) Applications.
Proven expertise in: Human Resource Systems & Program Management, Product Development Life cycle, Quality Assurance, Business & Functional Analysis.

My family background

Being the first Graduate in the family, that too from a rural area, it is very difficult to survive in the Technical era.
My Father is a Business Man & Mother is a homemaker. My sister is working as a Financial Analyst. It is a small family along with my wife and kid (18 months old).

Thoughts on Education system of our country

The current education system is more towards preparing for the clerical jobs.. Ideally the education system should kindle our brains towards innovation. Even though more than 700+ engineering colleges in the country, the number of patents registered by the students is very low.
Overall the education system syllabus should be common across the country. Only few chapters in history can be modified depends on the location. Uniformity in the syllabus will be the students to have equal competition across the country.

Couple of years from now

I want to be an entrepreneur after 5 years from now… Area of interest would be How to reduce the common man’s spending to buy the essential commodities.

My achievements

As an engineer, Project titled “AUTOMATIC Head light leveling control, Dazzling control, Rear view mirror adjuster” was selected by TNSCST (Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology) under student’s project scheme. This project was exhibited in the TNSCST annual meet held in Madurai on 17 & 18 of September 2004 and was awarded first prize for best presentation.

As a HR Functional,

• Recipient of People Excellence Award for exhibiting the highest standards of excellence in achieving the business objectives of HR Systems during 2011.
• Elected as a Secretary of Talent Council (Part of Employee First Council) for Chennai region during the period July 2011 to June 2012.
• Member of Extra Miles Silver Club, honor given for the recognition of an additional contribution.

Important lesson learned

We can find out the solution for most of the critical problems through simple common sense; in the 8 years of corporate life, I have learnt that, only common sense can help an individual to climb the hierarchical ladder along with technical domain expertise.

Most important decisions made in my life,
(1) To Join Engineering
(2) To Join MBA
(3) To take up the career as a HR Systems Functional
I.e. All the decisions made in my life are important in terms of my life journey.

Initiative to develop a country

Theoretically it is very simple, to help India become a developed country, all our IT professionals should show importance to agricultural development (which is the major lifeline for India). I.e. All our innovations should help a common man to reduce their daily spending money in terms of buying essential commodities. After globalization, the cost of a smart phone is very cheaper compared to 100KG of rice.

To be more specific in a single line, essential commodities development / selling price should come down due to innovation and IT involvement in production.
