Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
I was born and brought up in Salem, a place famous for its mangoes and steel. My father retired as a Bank manager from SBI, one of the oldest nationalised banks. My mother is a home maker. I am married and have a daughter who is 7 and a son who is 2. I have a sister who is married and has a daughter
The Journey So Far
I had started my career with TCS as a campus recruit after my graduation in 1997. I had worked there for 3 years before I moved to the US on H1 and worked for over 2 years before returning back to TCS and have been with them for about 10 years now. I hve travelled to US and UK on TCS assignments.
A Fine Balance:
It is really a challenge to manage work and life. Some days I don't even see my family when I get back home and get to meet them only the next morning. I make it a point that I leave for work late in the afternoon so that I get some time to spend with my family.
Tech trends to watch out for
I am more into Application development and maintenance and have some interaction with the testing teams. We currently use QTP as our main testing tool. Since it is just for testing, I am not following the testing trends very keenly.
Plans for the Future
I am currently a team lead and would see myself as a project lead/manager in the next couple of years.

Most Important Lessons
I have learnt to respect individuals. Position or status does not matter and I have learnt to treat individuals with due respect.
Current and Previous Responsibilities
I am currently a team lead in the organization and the responsibilities include managing day-today activities of the project I work on. Tasks include attending client calls, managing the team and handling support issues and change requests.
