Could you tell us briefly about your family background?

Im married staying in Mumbai along with my family. My elder brother is into interior decoration, elder sis is a teacher teaching in South Mumbai School, younger sis works in a private firm. All are happily married and settled in Mumbai.

Proper planning and self-discipline makes life simple. Also, faith & trust in whatever you do helps to a great extent to manage the challenges of work and life and to balance it well.

I began my career in Software Testing at an early age of 18yrs. Had it not been for Software Testing, I would have been a Chartered Accountant in Finance Domain. After receiving good guidance & support from my cousins who were Software Engineers, it really helped me shape up my career in SW Testing.

Plans for the Future

I wish to start coaching classes for college students to choose Software Testing as Career Option. Also,I would like to train students in communication 881984 confidence building skills. Professionally, to be at Sr. Manager Level in my Organisation helping with process improvement 881984 cost reduction plan.

Essential Advice

I would say if you have an eye for details and believe in processes then you are best suited for career in QA/ Testing. As a tester, one should be passionate about the job being a "value-addition" rather than "defect-identification".

Tech trends to watch out for

Cloud Computing, Mobile Apps, Tablets, Android are some of the technology trends that are been happening. With such trends, from career standpoint, upgrading oneself with such technology to face the tide and thus evolve oneself to better handle the challenging and fast evolving situations.

Changes in the industry

Testing industry has changed and evolved dramatically. When I started my career 14yrs back,it was mainly GUI interface testing and functionality testing. Now companies have started realizing the importance of testing in par with development & research. Also number of Automation tools are available.
